How does Psychology Apply to My Life?
What do you know or what have you been told about the field of psychology?
My whole life I have always thought psychology was just the study of the way people think. I also assumed that people who studied psychology just want to be therapists. But within this class, I know I will learn so much more.
Do you expect that you'll utilize anything you learn in Introductory Psychology as part of your major/career goals? Why or why not?
Yes, I do think I will utilize the things I learn in Introductory Psychology, since I want to be a real estate lawyer. Being a real estate lawyer involves being in the business world, and I think to be in a tough world like it is helpful to understand people better.
How, if at all, do you see psychology being relevant to your everyday life?
Most definitely, since a young age I have always felt very aware. Because of this, I have always been interested in the way people think and why they think like that. I will meet different types of people my whole life, so if I can try to understand people better now it will eventually help me learn more about myself.
