PORTFOLIO: Unit 3 Application Reflection

I have chosen to talk about the bystander effect, since I feel like it is a very intriguing topic that has always made me question what I have learned about throughout the years. I first learned about the bystander effect in middle school English class, when we talked about the story of Kitty Genovese. I remember my teacher prompting us with a question about what we do if we witnessed a stabbing, and at the time everyone agreed that we would call the police and help. But then she explained the story of Kitty and the "bystander effect", which I learned is that people are less likely to help during a crisis when more people are around since they feel less of obligation to help if they think someone else can just do it. And Kitty's story was extremely upsetting to hear when I learned that she was so close to living. PORTFOLIO: Unit 2 Application Reflection

  Unit 2 Application Reflection After looking through the list, I would say that I am really good at creating schedules of my assignments in order to keep track of them, so I know when they are due or not. I also tend to look up a lot of words I do not understand, since my vocabulary could use some work. I do try to think about the main idea after I read things. In all honesty, after seeing this list showed me that I do not have the most healthy study habits. I personally feel like growing up, when it came to school it came so natural and easy to me I did not have to study. So after years of not having to study, I am a college student now and really struggling. I would say my best strength would be my schedule and organization since I am really good at planning, but I really need to work on my time management and focus ability.
